Here is the recipe for the Homemade Twix Bars that Amy Seiter made for Sara Owens' baptism luncheon! We're glad everyone loved them and wanted to make sure everyone got a copy of the recipe. Feel free to forward this email onto anyone else that was at the luncheon that wanted a copy of the recipe.
Homemade Twix Bars
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup powdered sugar
¾ to 1 cup butter, melted
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 sticks butter
¾ cup sugar
4 Tbsp. Karo syrup
1 to 2 bags of chocolate chips for frosting
Blend flour, powdered sugar, and melted butter with fork and put in 9x13 pan. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Meanwhile, melt sweetened condensed milk, butter, sugar, and Karo syrup in a saucepan. Boil and stir continuously until it gets to the soft ball stage. Make sure you stir constantly or it will burn. Pour over cookie crust. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let melt and spread over caramel layer. Let cool then put in refrigerator or freezer to harden the chocolate.
